We are looking for a Social Media Specialist who will be responsible for developing brand awareness, engagement, generating inbound traffic for variety of businesses. This role coordinates with the company's search engine marketing department and consults with marketing team to support their objectives, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating social media engagement.
Responsibilities
Coordinate social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, writing content, posting promotional content and maintaining content calendars.
Coordinate presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Google Plus and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed
Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
Regularly provide insights gained from social media monitoring into the marketing and operations teams, to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion
Monitor trends in social media tools and emerging applications
Requirements
Strong project coordination or organizational skills
In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, Linked In, Google Plus etc.)
Understanding of location-based social media sites (Yelp, Gowalla, Foursquare, Facebook Places, etc.) and how they can be utilized
Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal form; build and maintain relationships
Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
Public Relations, Marketing, Sales, Community Management experience, a plus
